For your consideration is this extremely rare and unique California Black Plate registered 1952 Porsche 356 “Split Windshield” Cabriolet, chassis 10266. Built April 22, 1952 this was the 4th from the last Split window Cabriolet made. Original US delivery car, through Max Hoffman, and delivered with Interim bumpers. One of only 40 US delivered split window cabs, and according to the registry there are less than 10 still in existence. The Kardex and the COA confirm this Split Cab was delivered with factory equipment including Telefunken Radio, Antenna, Comfort Seats, Vented wheels, Cooling rings, Reinforced bumpers, Tachometer, and Speedometer. Unlike most other split window 356s, chassis 10266 still maintains a lot of originality. One of the most notable features being its original floor. The undercarriage is 73 years old and mostly untouched. A very honest example that is rock solid with only minimal corrosion. This could be one of the only cars that still has its original floor and has not seen a “full” restoration. Other originals details include the original door panels, rear interior side panels, switch gear, and many small lights, lenses, and trim.
Since acquiring 10266 in a trade deal one year ago, we have done the following; had the front and rear seats recovered is carefully sourced leather that very closely matches the original red leather features still in the car. We had a new top installed with the most correct materials we could source and in the correct Brown color. The headliner was sourced in Germany while the top was hand made here in the US. When we received the car it came with a lot of parts that had been gathered over the years for the car. A new rear window, window frame, sun visor, and many rubber gaskets. were sourced from Reinhold Plank. The correct rear view mirror and dome light were also included. These have been fully restored by Victor Miles. We had them properly installed on the center bar. In the last couple weeks we had the car completely wet sanded/paint corrected, installed correct 4-piece door seals, and new hood seal. The top, interior, paint correction, and some corrected details combine for a huge overall improvement in the cars aesthetic.
Here is a quick write up regarding the history of the car taken from the previous owner. “Not much is known about the early history in the 1950s and 1960s, but it does have California Black plates and has been registered in California since the 1960s. In the mid - 1970s this 356 was advertised in the Los Angeles Times and purchased by a California Highway Patrol officer who also had a 1952 356 Coupe. In the late 1980s, the 356 was purchased by an avid Volkswagen Bus collector who worked with Tom Birch, a leader in the 356 split-window registry and a key figure in helping preserve the early cars. Birch helped with the mechanics and installation of a new wiring harness. In the late 1990s, the 356 changed hands again and ended up at Victor Miles's shop for some light restoration work.”
The previous owner that we obtained the car from purchased 10266 in Redwood City, CA in 2008. He spent a lot of time and money getting the car back on its feet. In 2011 the engine was professionally rebuilt by Dave Merz in Santa Rosa, CA to Super specs. Brakes and all systems were gone through at that time as well. All receipts for the work completed are included in the sale. Roughly 5,000 miles have been put on the car since the car was brought back to life. Gauges were restored by North Hollywood Speedometer. Etc. This Split Cab is ready to be enjoyed. We have added roughly 400 miles under our ownership. The car will come with a service history file, clean CA title, BOTH original CA Black plates (front not pictured) which are still current and have been going back to the late 60’s! Porsche COA, a copy of the Kardex, and many receipts, including the engine rebuild, are included with the car.
This 52’ Split Window Cab is true head turner and has been displayed at several car shows including The Bridge VIII in 2024 and more recently Luftgetkult 11 in Durham, NC last month. Chassis 10266 would surely be a stellar addition to anyones collection. Please call or message with any questions.

Up for sale is my 1963 SO35 Subhatch Westfalia. I found this bus sitting in a barn in Jackson TN in January of 2019. I knew I was buying a rare bus at the time, but I later found out it was a 56k original mile bus with its original numbers matching engine. The bus was bought new by a postal worker in 1963 in Germany and shipped back to Jackson TN where he lived. The link above is to the full story of me finding the bus. Under my ownership I have stripped it back down to original paint, had the motor completely gone through and professionally rebuilt, did all the rubber seals, brakes, tires, etc, too much to list. I did have some metal work done with can be seen in the photos. We had the inner and outer rockers replaced, jack points, outriggers, and cargo floor edge. The Nose, corners, front floor, and everything else is ORIGINAL! This is a very special and rare bus being an SO35, not a 34. The SO35 got the pear wood cabinets and was only available in Germany. You can see on the M Code plate that there is no export code because it was a European tourist delivery. If anyone is serious about buying this bus, please call me. There is too much to list. The photos tell the story. Also watch the videos including the walk around video I did a few years ago that’s also on my YouTube channel. Happy to answer any questions.

Up for sale is this absolute TIME CAPSULE 1959 Beetle! I recently acquired this Beetle while buying 2 other VW’s for a guy who was selling off his collection. He purchased the car 35-years ago from the second owner. When I first saw the car I thought it was an older restoration, but he went on to tell me that the car is completely original, and IT IS. 100% Original paint, interior, floors, headliner, tail lights, headlights, turn signals, gas tank, fenders, hood, deckled, bumpers, engine, transmission, glass, 5 date coded wheels, etc! The only thing missing was the 2 front vinyl floor mats, so the 2 fronts are new units from Wolfsburg west, everything else you see is original! Aside from it’s absolutely stunning original condition, this 59’ also boasts one of the best documented histories I’ve ever seen! It comes with the original window sticker (not a copy or re-print!) all original books, service manuals, warranty book, sales brochure, paint and upholstery brochure, ALL SERVICE RECORDS SINCE DAY 1!, very single signed registration, and even photos dating back to 1960! With the history, color, condition, and documentation combined, this is one VERY special Volkswagen! According to the previous owner, the 59’ has been sitting for about 5 years. Since getting it I have done the following. Cleaned and sealed the gas tank, cleaned out all metal fuel lines, replaced all soft fuel lines, installed a new 6v battery, performed an engine oil change, new fan belt, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, rebuilt the original Solex pic 28 carb, replaced one front tie rod (passenger), replaced all 4 wheel cylinders, all 4 soft lines, master cylinder, brake shoes, all hardware, reservoir line, etc, etc. I’ve put about 30 miles on it and it runs and drives excellent and everything works! The original and documented mileage is 79,000 and it’s easy to see that they have been VERY gentle and careful miles! This is a once in a lifetime chance to buy a piece of VW history. Won’t last long…

Up for sale is this stunning and highly original 1965 Volkswagen Notchback 1500S! This Notchback is an original California black plate car (both OG plates included) This is a true 61k mile 3 owner Notchback. The original owner had the car is CA until 1987’. It was old to the second owner in Oregon who stored the car from the late 80’s until 2015! After that it was sold to a guy in Florida who has owned it the last handful of years. In FL it was always garaged and only driven 800 miles or so. It has received a lot of maintenance in the last few years including shocks, brakes, soft brake lines, seat upholstery, carpet, wheels and tires (original wheels included!) When we acquired this car last month, we went ahead and replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter, adjusted the valves, and gave it a proper ignition tune up. This Notch features loads of original paint including the interior paint, trust area, and engine bay. The exterior has seen 1 repaint thought to be done in the early 80’s. Many early receipts and registrations are included to prove the mileage and ownership. This is not your average Type and features matching body and pan, original engine which is number 0841533, all original glass (not sure if the windshield is OG but its definitely old with a 74’ CHP inspection sticker still in tact!) Original radio, original wheels included, Jack, service book, etc, etc. It has very little rust and it could all easily be addressed. This an excellent driver with some great history and details. No big motor and slammed suspension here! There are getting harder to find in honest condition like this. Please call or e-mail with any questions!

Up for sale is this beautiful and rare 1966 Volkswagen Beetle Pigalle edition with a sunroof. The Pigalle edition was offered by VW across its entire model range for just 2 short years. All of the cars got a completely red interior and even a red dashboard and steering wheel on all models except the Beetle. High contrasting interiors weren’t something found in European cars up until this point. Pigalle cars were offered in White, Black, and Gray. The vast majority of these cars are white. Black Pigalles are much more uncommon. VW Pigalle cars are extremely rare in general and typically missing impossible to find red interior pieces. This particular Beetle is a true survivor with a 100% original and intact interior. Further adding to this Beetle’s rarity is it’s Steel Sliding “Golde” sunroof. This Pigalle Beetle was ordered new by a couple from Medina, OH. They took part in Volkswagen’s European Tourist Delivery program and picked the Beetle up in Wolfsburg, Germany. (Photo below) The original owners toured Europe for awhile before shipping the car back to Ohio. Years later when Chuck’s wife passed away, the car was parked and stored for 27-years. The car was then sold and brought back to life just a few short years ago. Aside from 1 exterior re-respray, this Beetle is 100% original in every way. There isn’t a sticker, number, or part out of place on this beautiful Beetle. Please message or call with any questions. Nationwide shipping quotes available. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to own a piece of Volkswagen history!

Up for sale is this very hard to find 1st year BMW R100GS in White/Blue! With just 16k original miles, this 1988 R100GS is a true survivor. We acquired this from the previous owner who had it for the last 15 years. During his ownership he only added about 3k miles to the bike. He stopped riding it due to health issues last year. This GS is all original with the only exception being the hand guards, and the front fender has been repainted. The bike has a good battery, CLEAN oil, and has only been run on ethanol free fuel according the previous owner. It comes with the original hard bags and a clean KY title. Before regular use, the bike could use a new set of tires and a quick once over, otherwsie it’s ready to go. Please message with any questions. Shipping quotes available. We also reserve the right to end the listing at any time.

Up for sale is my 1/53 Barndoor 23-Window Deluxe. If you know what a Barndoor Deluxe is, then you’re probably familiar with this bus. It was previously owned by Mark Merz for 25-years. Under his ownership he had a multi-year preservation completed. Mark L. who is absolutely one of the best in the business, and he did an amazing job with the metal work, paint touch ups, interior, etc, etc.
This bus comes with a complete preservation book that clearly documents the work that was performed by Mark L. roughly 12 years ago. The complete running gear was meticulously rebuilt by George at the Butcher Shop in So Cal. The motor is a correct January 1953 Bus 25-Hp, but it’s not the original. The transmission are believed to be original to the bus. This is a 100% authentic bus with ZERO re-pop or fake parts. All of the impossible to find parts and small details are there. From the correct glass, wiper arms, shift knob, hardware, etc……it’s all there.
During my ownership I have done the following…installed a synchronized gearbox. The gearbox was sourced from Lind (Zvwbus) and actually came out of the 50’ Südfunk Bus. It is a 57’ center section with Barndoor axles and reduction boxes. I had the gearbox completely rebuilt here locally by Billy at Rusty Bottom Garage. The original full crashbox transmission is included in the sale (pictured). I also had the heat fixed as it was missing the corrugated metal tube and insulation wrap under the front seat area. Heat work well now! We also performed a tune up, carb rebuild, new battery, resealed both lever shocks, and addressed a few small maintenance items. I have since put roughly 300 miles on the bus, and it’s an absolute treat to drive.
My only reason for selling is to fund a real estate project. I would also potentially consider a trade + cash. Possible trades considered - Aircooled Porsches 356/912/911, split window buses, early split beetles, cabriolets, low light Ghia, etc. May consider other classic cars as partial trade as well. If you’re serious, call or e-mail.

Up for sale is this beautiful 1962 Volkswagen Type 34 “Razor Ghia”. The Type 34 Ghia was made from 1962-1969. This is an early, first year car, which has many unique details seen through the car. Its finished in the very attractive Pacific Blue/Blue White exterior with correct Ice Blue Vinyl and Turquoise Cloth. This Ghia was found in 2017 and restored in 2018 by Pedro Sainz in San Diego. It was featured in Hot VW’s and Volks World magazine in 2020. This Type 34 was restored to stock specs which includes 6V wiring, 1500cc (Engine number 0040846), bias ply tires, etc. Everything on this Type34 works like it should from the lights and gauges to the heater. The only two items to mention are the radio and the clock which I believe are disconnected, but correct for this Ghia. This would be a great addition to anyone collection. This Type 34 gets all the attention anywhere it goes and is ready to be enjoyed! Please call or message with any questions. Nationwide shipping quotes available.

Up for sale is this beautiful January 1955 European Beetle Sedan. This Beetle was delivered new in Sweden and has all the proper European features such as fluted headlights, semaphore turn signals, and a KPH Speedometer. This 55’, although wearing an older re-spray, features a nearly 100% original interior! When we received this car, the door panels were red and when we went to remove them we discovered the original door panel material perfectly preserved under the red vinyl! Needless to say, we were very excited about this discovery. The seatbelts appear to have been added early in the cars life, possibly even in the 1950’s. They are stamped “Made in Sweden”. One other unique detail is a small plaque that is mounted to the drivers side inner front fender era (pictured) and it states the original owners name as “Karl Fagerström” from Norrköping Sweden.
This 1955 Beetle features a numbers matching body and pan that have never been separated. The current engine in the car is a 36hp with a Big Bore kit and Abarth style muffler that was built by Joe Ruiz, Mr. Okrasa, and it is absolutely dialed in! (original engine INCLUDED in the sale, but needs rebuilt) Everything on the motor has been rebuilt or restored. No expense was spared! Starts easy, revs smooth and pulls VERY hard….for a 36hp. The original split case transmission is still in the car are shifts exceptionally well. I have driven many 36hp/split case trans cars over the years and this one drives the best, hands down! No grinds. No crunches…even on the down shifts! Aside from the motor and transmission, the brakes have been completely gone through with all new master cylinder, german wheel cylinders, soft lines, shoes, hardware, etc. The tires are new Coker radials. The shocks are new. The king and link pins have all been rebuilt. All new tie rods. New steering box. New gas tank. Fresh alignment. Every things work as it should from the dome light, to the horn, semaphores, lights, wipers, etc! The only item not working is the very cool early washer system with SWF plastic tank.
I have personally put over 200 miles on this Beetle this week and it is an absolute delight to drive! It is ready for it’s new home and comes with a clean and clear TN title. Please call or message with any questions.

Up for sale is this incredibly rare 1949 Volkswagen Beetle Deluxe. This 49’ was produced in November of 49’ and has many early features not found on on later year split window Beetles. 2 of the most notable are the fact that it’s a Deluxe model with cable operated brakes. Deluxe models were very uncommon in 1949. Also, the fact that it has lever operated rear shocks opposed to telescopic shocks which became standard just a few months later. This particular 49’ is quite original in many ways. The Body and Pan numbers match and don’t appear to have ever been separated. There is original L13 medium Green paint showing in many areas including the engine bay, under the original decklid, inside all the fenders, under the dash, both aprons, etc. This car has never been clipped and features both original correct aprons front and rear. Has all 4 correct fenders, all original seats and door cards. The seats are covered in black vinyl but the original upholstery is underneath them! The 49’ correct white backlit pods are in place as well as the correct Hella eyebrow headlights. The engine is 25-hp from 53’ but the full crash transmission is original. The engine has a later carb and distributor but does have, what we’ve been told, is the original 49’ “seamed” fan shroud. The car has 4 correct 16x3.00 wheels as well. Officially on 2 49’s were ever sold in America, with likely very few others brought in later. This is a fully functional running and driving true 49’ Beetle. All lights and gauges work with the exception of the odometer. The drivers semaphore works great, the passenger side is slow. Would make an excellent driver/survivor or an excellent candidate for a restoration. We believe the only incorrect panel on the entire car is the hood, which is a later raised 3 tab hood. We acquired this Beetle from the 3rd owner who purchased it in over 35-years ago from the second owner who was a WW2 veteran. He acquired the car from the original owner in the late 50’s. Up for sale is this very desirable 11/58 Volkswagen Beetle! This Beetle spent its whole life in California and it shows! We shipped it from the Sacramento area where it spent like last 7 years with its previous owner. It features a numbers matching body and pan, original 36hp engine, original fenders, doors, flat 4-tab hood, both H-clips, original floor pans with nubs for rubber mats (only made them like Thai for a short while), etc! Finished in a very desirable L355 Capri Blue this Beetle is extremely eye-catching! The seats have been redone in a correct style, the door panels are all original, original dealer-installed radio, correct half Batwing steering wheel, correct hump gas tank, all 5 original wheels, etc. Although it’s received a correct repaint, redone seats, and headliner, this 59’ Beetle has a lot more originality to it than most. It’s clean, straight, and runs like a top! The only sign of rust are a few small pinholes under the battery area and are a non-issue. Since receiving this Beetle we have done the following; oil change, valve adjustment, replaced the fuel lines, new fuel filter, replaced the brake fluid reservoir and line, replaced all 4 shocks, new plugs, cap, rotor, replaced the shifter with a stock style shifter (locking shifter in pictures included in the sale but has been removed. Has key as well) The wide whitewall bias-ply tires only have 200 miles on them and ride excellent! This Beetle goes down the road nicely and shifts into all gears like it should. The brakes are tight with a firm pedal and work perfectly. Working items include the wipers, all lights, speedo, odometer, blinkers, etc. The radio and the horn do not work. This Beetle comes with a clean CA title. The paint shows very well, but there are plenty of touch-ups and imperfections in it. Paint is probably a 7.5 and the interior is a 9. Very nice car and extremely hard to find in this “high-level driver” condition. Please call or e-mail with any questions. Shipping quotes available and trades are welcome.

Up for sale is this very desirable May of 55’ Beetle sedan. Finished in its original color of Stratos Silver it’s a real beauty!
I recently purchased this car and have spent the last 2 months getting it back on its feet. It was a stalled-out restoration from about 1 year ago. The car appears to have received a complete exterior paint job along with many new gaskets and seals. Dash paint and front compartment paint is all original and aged nicely.
The work I’ve performed included a complete carburetor rebuild (rebushed throttle shaft as well) plugs, cap, rotor, points, valve adjustment, drive belt, cleaned the gas tank, new fuel lines, rear main seal, clutch, all 4-wheel cylinders, master cylinder, repacked wheel bearings, etc, etc.
This 55’ appears to have all the correct body panels and it also features numbers matching body and pan. The ribbed doors are in excellent shape with no sag or cracks. The flat 4-tab hood is in great shape as well. The rear bumper is an original VW, front is a good repop. All the glass is original big logo Sekurit except for the windshield which is new.
All lights and gauges work (except the aftermarket gauge on the dash). The 36 hp motor is a 59’ model and it runs excellent. Starts easy with a pull of the choke and idles beautifully. This 55’ is very original with a way above average paint job. Looks as good in person as it does in pictures but is not a show car.
This 55’ runs and drives, brakes are excellent, clutch is new, but the gearbox is noisy and tired (yes most split cases are). It wants to pop out reverse so you have to hold it in. The front beam looks pretty original and has a little slop to it but overall steers ok.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity: Porsche 356A Chassis #001
Walk Around Video and Story —→» https://youtu.be/H-PzRosgf_E
This is your chance to own one of the most historically significant Porsche 356s ever built—Chassis #001. A true collector’s dream, this car stands apart not only for its unique chassis number but also for several remarkable features that make it one of a kind.
Built on a prototype chassis, this 356A was painted in an exceptionally rare shade of green—one of only two ever finished in this color, the other belonging to Ferry Porsche’s wife on her August 1955 cabriolet prototype. Beyond its stunning exterior, this car is a factory 1600 Super and retains its original, matching-numbers engine.
The Kardex reveals further fascinating details, including a unique Carskin Brown interior with special trim elements, a rare “Werksverkauf” (factory delivery), and an original owner who was a close friend of the Porsche family. This individual also owned a plastics company that supplied small components to various car manufacturers, adding yet another layer to its rich history.
The story behind discovering this car—and reuniting it with its original engine—is just as incredible as the vehicle itself. Serious buyers are encouraged to contact me via phone or email for further details.
This is more than just a Porsche; it’s a true piece of history. And remember—there can only be one number one.

Up for sale is this extremely original 1963 VW 23 window Deluxe bus! This 23 Window is a late 62’ built original 23 window deluxe, not a copy or a graft. It features all it’s correct data plates, M-code plate, etc. It features almost all of its original sheet metal and paint. The nose, Belly pans, doors, corner, roof clip, etc are all ORIGINAL! The only metal work we performed was a front floor, passenger side rocker, passenger outter edge of the cargo floor, and the original rear fender lips were welded back on (cut off by previous owner in the 80’s but saved in the trunk and we re-installed them!) This 23-window was purchased by me almost 2 years ago in a package deal. I go into more detail in the Youtube video (link above) It is 99% rust free, and features 90-95% original paint. Minimal paint was blended were where needed. Up for sale is this exceptional and extremely hard to find 1965 Type 34 Karmann Ghia 1500S Coupe. This Type 34 was lovingly and meticulously restored by Pedro Sainz in Sand Diego, CA in 2016. Having only covered about 800 miles since the restoration was completed, the car is still is top notch condition. Finished in the very attractive Smoke Gray/Fontana Gray over Brick Red interior. This Type 34 is thought to be one of the nicest in the country. It features many small details that are often overlooked when restoring these cars either due to lack of parts, or lack of knowledge in the details. I recently acquired this car from the previous owner via a consignment sale by Lee Hedges one of the leading Type 34 experts world wide. I traveled with my wife and our 2 youngest daughters to San Diego and proceeded to drive the Type 34 up the CA-1 to visit family on the central coast. We logged roughly 400 miles on the trip. Some of the pictures show various stops on our trip. Malibu, San Luis Obisbo, Port San Luis, and Morro Bay. We then flew home and had the Type 34 shipped back here to Tennessee. Please review the 175 plus photos and 2 videos we have posted. The quality of the restoration is truly exceptional!

Up for sale is this stunning 1995 911 Cabriolet 6-Speed with just 59k original miles. This 993 Cab is finished in “Paint To Sample” Amethyst Metallic over Gray Porsche cloth interior. This 911 was custom ordered by the first owner in Colorado. He owned the car until 2012. It was then purchased by a lady directly from the first owner in 2012. She moved to Tennessee shortly after. We acquired this 911 Cab from the second owner in Franklin TN. Under her ownership she drove the car very little only adding a few thousand miles. In the last few years she had an oil service done, fuel pressure regulator replaced, front brake job done, window switch replaced, as well as some work on the power top which currently operates perfectly. This car is in fantastic original condition inside and out. It has always been garaged. It comes with 2 keys, original books, window sticker, tool kit, spare, and tire inflator. Since acquiring this 911 we have had a full paint correction done with ceramic coating, added an OEM set of 17” Cup 2 Wheels (stock 16’s included), had the front bumper refinished due to some chips and scratches, replaced both fog lights with new OEM Hella units, and purchased a new set of OEM floor mats. This PTS 911 Cab is truly unique and 100% bone stock. No stories. This 911 runs excellent, shifts perfectly, and every button, switch, and gauge work as they should. Please contact us with any questions.
